Nobody wants to be fat! Unfortunately, most of us are either becoming or already become. The truth is most of us are past our ideal weight.
”fat/Obesity” is a word every Woman hates (Men are beginning to hate it too at lightening speed) because of the many barriers and risks associated to it.
Certainly, looking good is good, how we look when fat isn’t the worst of all.
You do not need a research to know Obesity is widespread. You do not need scientific investigation, to agree that Obesity is become a global challenge.
Gone are the Days when Obesity was a burden associated to high-income societies. Children too are in for it.
To know whether you are overweight or Obese, you need to calculate your BMI.
“BMI (Body Mass Index) measures body fat based on weight and height. A healthy BMI (18.5-24.9) reduces chronic disease risk.
To Calculate your BMI: weight (kg) / height (m)² or weight (kg) / (height (cm) / 100)². For example, if your weight is 60kg and your height is 1.80 metres…To know your BMI; BMI=63/(1.80 X 1.80) = 19.4.(normal category)
NOTE; If your BMI is equal to or more than 25, then you are overweight. If your BMI is equal to or more that 30, you are Obese.
Science is now blown away with overweighing evidence found between Abnormal BMI and the increased risk of diabetes, heart disease, and certain cancers.
The overwhelming evidence pointing to the strong connection between Diabeties and Obesity has led to health experts refer to the two as Diabesity.
The World Health Organization has projected that by 2030, Diabesity will be the Seventh leading cause of death (WHO-FACT SHEET NO. 312).
